How Personal Trainers Motivate

Changing areas of your life can always be a difficult challenge and the one thing that always becomes a problem is a lack of motivation. We think about doing it and want to do it but don’t have the motivation to do it. It can be any task in your life from losing weight to chasing a new career, motivation is the fundamental factor to success.
You can truly achieve anything you want in life so long as you have the desire and determination to do it. Yet, a shocking 95% of my personal training clients have a problem with their motivation and therefore achieving their goals.
If you really WANT to achieve something in life then you must make a decision and COMMIT to it. Get excited by your vision and think about it every day. Act upon it immediately and don’t put it off until tomorrow what you can do today.
When you have decided what it is you want to achieve you must formulate a plan of how to do it. Try following successful people which have already achieved your goal. Success leaves clues so don’t waste time trying to reinvent the wheel, just take a look at someone else’s pattern and how they have done it and use it to your advantage. So if you are looking to lose weight then put your fitness plan together and enter the days in your diary when you conduct the fitness training session.
Set a time line to achieve it but be realistic. If you can only spare 30 minutes per day then make sure you give yourself enough time to meet your deadline. Then take action and do it right now, make it your mission, never deviate from your master plan and keep working towards your health, fitness or life goals.
Pit falls Most people fail to exercise because, quite simply, life gets in the way. But other people may have other disadvantages including:
Time Money Physical disadvantage Mental disadvantage (weakness)
These four factors are common excuses people use for not achieving their goals. These are just conditions imposed in life which means you have to adapt in order to make the changes in your life. The best example of this is to look at paraolympians, these are people that have lost limbs or have serious medical conditions causing a great disability. These individuals can achieve everything an able bodied olympian can however they learn to adapt and do it differently.
It will not be a simple straight line from A to B, there will be many obstacles that will test you along the way and you may need to go from A to C before getting to B. So look at which one of these affect you and work out what you can do to manoeuvre round your obstacle.
If you think this is impossible to get past then you need to focus more on your mental state and get help or advice from others that have made it.
But remember nothing is impossible, ask Duncan Bannatyne if he was given money to make his millions or did he start from nothing, ask Lance Armstrong how he won the Tour de France 7 times after being diagnosed with testicular cancer, how did Wilma Rudolf win 3 Olympic gold medals in the 100, 200 and 4 by 100 meters after being diagnosed with polio and being told she would never walk again.
These are just a few examples of determined individuals who have been given huge obstacles in life and have achieved the goals of their dreams.
So follow patterns similar to these or other success stories, make your decision on what you want, get excited by what you want and take massive action right now!
